Idaho Parental Choice Tax Credit
Idaho curriculum purchases, family tax-credit applications and the records to keep for AMP Mathematics.
Reviewed
Who can use it
Eligible Idaho families must meet residency, student, education and tax-filing requirements. Application approval and qualifying expenses are both required; an award does not preapprove a purchase.
How to use this route
Apply through Idaho’s family tax-credit process. Buying curriculum alone does not secure an award or approve an expense.
- Check the official eligibility checklist for your child and award year. Confirm how mathematics fits your curriculum across English language arts, mathematics, science and social studies.
- For the 2026 credit or an advance awarded in 2027, the published application window is January 15 through March 15, 2027. Use your own Taxpayer Access Point (TAP) account and the instructions for that cycle.
- Before buying, check the license dates, eligible enrollment periods and expense rules. Keep paid receipts and the award decision. Follow the required tax-return or advance-reconciliation steps separately.
Documents to keep
- Seller, curriculum description, payment date and amount paid.
- Learner allocation, license dates and proof of payment.
- Award notice, refund records and any required evidence of learning.
Use the program’s secure submission process for personal documents. Do not send account credentials or full payment details to Corpora.
Limits to check
- Funding is limited; neither a purchase nor an application guarantees an award.
- Public-school enrollment can make a semester ineligible. Check the current exceptions with the state.
- How a 12-month license is allocated across years or enrollment changes remains unresolved. Confirm the treatment before relying on a benefit.
- Keep corrected records after a refund and follow state instructions for adjusting a claim or advance. This tax benefit is separate from Empowering Parents grants.
